Cool Chemistry
In the 2026/2027 school year, the Experientia Foundation, in cooperation with the IOCB Foundation, is holding a competition worth a total of 400,000 CZK, which will be distributed across the best 20 projects aimed at making chemistry teaching in schools more attractive. There are two categories in the competition – one for primary schools, and one for secondary schools.
The transformation of a young, gifted student into a leading scientist often begins with an inspirational teacher at school. Because we work with young scientists and want to create a stimulating environment for them in the Czech Republic, we decided to create a new program to help make chemistry teaching in primary and secondary schools more attractive. The Cool Chemistry grant is intended for active teachers who want to kindle an enthusiasm for chemistry in their students and who believe, as we do, that targeted long-term support can have a significant impact on Czech chemistry and advance it towards global excellence, perhaps even to the next Nobel Prize.
