Having listened to the feedback from our previous stipend award winners and Start-Up Grant holders, we are changing the terms and conditions of our Start-Up Grant programme effective from 2023. While previously candidates could only apply up to a maximum of 5 years after completing their PhD, we have now extended this limit to 7 years. This allows us to open up this grant opportunity to more experienced candidates who may have spent a longer time abroad. Through our Start-Up Grants, we motivate top young scientists who have been working abroad to return to the Czech Republic and establish their own research groups at one of the Czech research institutes. The Experientia Foundation’s three-year Start-Up Grant of 2 million CZK can be applied for annually with a deadline of 15 March each year.
